Privacy Policy

iScale Easy Support AI ("the App") is a Shopify application that helps merchants manage and reply to customer emails using artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses, uses, stores, and protects Google user data.

1. Google User Data We Access

The App accesses Gmail data only after you explicitly grant permission through Google OAuth. The App uses the following Google OAuth scopes:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send

Through these scopes, the App can access the following Gmail user data from your account:

Sender and recipient information
Email subject
Email message body (text and HTML)
Email metadata (message ID, thread ID, timestamps)
Email labels

The App does not access or download email attachments. No other Gmail data is accessed.

2. How We Use Google User Data

The Gmail data listed above is used strictly for the following purposes:

Retrieve customer support emails from your inbox
Analyze message content to categorize it (such as shipping, invoices, returns, etc.)
Generate AI-based suggested replies
Display customer information associated with each email
Send replies that you explicitly approve

The App does not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, profiling, AI model training unrelated to your request, or any other purpose outside the core functionality of the App.

3. Data Storage and Retention

The App does not store the full content of any email. Only minimal technical metadata (such as message ID, labels, or generated reply content) may be stored temporarily for the duration necessary to provide the service.

Stored data is automatically deleted when no longer required.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties.

Google user data is not transferred outside the App except:

To send the merchant-approved response through Gmail APIs.
To Shopify, only for the purpose of displaying customer information.

No Google user data is shared for analytics, external AI training, or marketing purposes.

5. Data Deletion

Merchants may request deletion of their stored data at any time by contacting us at contact@iscaleapps.com.

Revoking Gmail access automatically prevents any further data collection.

6. Revoking Gmail Access

You may revoke the App’s access to your Gmail account at any time via:

7. Data Security

All communication between Shopify, Gmail, and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS and TLS security.

8. Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy

The App’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
